– During the writing of any story, there are scenes that just don’t make the final cut. The opening scene of Tough Sell was left on the cutting room floor. My fabulous editor and I loved it, but the tone is dark, and frankly, it just wasn’t needed. We replaced it with the prologue that is in the book today. This was the first scene I wrote for Tough Sell. The images and experience of being in the room with Baby Dot as the violence unfolded, stayed with me throughout the writing of the book.
